Ready-to-use Human iPSC-Derived Midbrain Organoids

  • Product Details
Human iPSC-Derived Midbrain Organoids are generated from iPSCs using the Human iPSC-Derived Cerebral Organoid Differentiation Kit. These 3D in vitro models replicate the midbrain's cellular composition, showing high expression of the dopaminergic neuron marker TH and dopaminergic progenitor cells marker FOXA2 and OTX2. In addition, midbrian organoid exhibit functional characteristics such as spontaneous neuronal activity, making them ideal for studying neurological Parkinson's diseases and for drug screening applications.
  • Product Specification
The midbrain organoid are ready-to-use organoids that are delivered in shipping medium and has to go through a 48h recovery process according to instruction.
  • Storage

After recovery, please store the organoid in its maintenance medium under the correct incubation condition and medium changing process.

Validation Data
Marker Expression
 Organoids MARKER EXPRESSION

The midbrain organoids exhibit high expression of TH (dopaminergic neurons), MAP2 (mature neurons), as well as FOXA2 and OTX2 (dopaminergic progenitor cells) on day 37.

Organoid Activity
 Organoids ORGANOID ACTIVITY

On day 37, midbrain organoids show significantly higher expression of TH and FOXA2 compared to cerebral organoids (Ca. No. CIPO-BWL001K).

Organoid Application
 Organoids ORGANOID APPLICATION

L-dopa causes midbrain organoids to turn black due to dopamine synthesis and subsequent oxidation into dark pigments.
