소개

자성입자(Magnetic Particle, MP) 기반 화학발광면역분석법(Chemiluminescent Immunoassay, CLIA)은 자기 비드의 유연성과 CLIA의 민감도 및 특이도를 결합한 분석 방법입니다. 웰 플레이트 안에 단백질이나 항체를 고정하지 않는 대신 자기 비드는 검체 접촉 표면적, 포착 효율성 및 자동화 기능을 유의하게 향상합니다. 따라서 MPCLIA는 현재 질병 진단, 화학 반응 모니터링, 그 외 여러 연구 분야에서 자주 활용되고 있습니다.

ELISA와 비교할 때 MPCLIA가 갖는 가장 큰 차이점은 자기 비드를 기본 골격으로 사용하는 것 외에도 화학발광을 통해 검출한다는 점입니다. 화학 반응을 활용하여 홍당무과산화효소(horseradish peroxidase, HRP) 및 아크리디늄 에스터(acridinium ester, AE)와 같은 물질을 자극하면 광자가 방출되며 전용 화학발광 판독기로 이를 측정할 수 있습니다. 기존 ELISA와 비교할 때 CLIA 방법은 더 높은 민감도, 특이도, 선형 범위를 갖는 경우가 많습니다.
