Source

Human LRP-6 (20-630), Mouse IgG2a Fc Tag (LR6-H5253) is expressed from human 293 cells (HEK293). It contains AA Ala 20 - Pro 630 (Accession # O75581-1 ).

Predicted N-terminus: Ala 20

Molecular Characterization

This protein carries a mouse IgG2a Fc tag at the C-terminus.

The protein has a calculated MW of 95.8 kDa. The protein migrates as 55 kDa and 110 kDa when calibrated against Star Ribbon Pre-stained Protein Marker under reducing (R) condition (SDS-PAGE) due to glycosylation.

Endotoxin

Less than 0.1 EU per μg by the LAL method / rFC method.

Purity

>90% as determined by SDS-PAGE.

Formulation

Lyophilized from 0.22 μm filtered solution in Tris with Glycine, Arginine and NaCl, pH7.5 with trehalose as protectant.

Background

LRP6 is a transmembrane low-density lipoprotein receptor that shares a similar structure with LRP5. Low-density lipoprotein receptor-related protein 6 is a key component of the LRP5/LRP6/Frizzled co-receptor group that is involved in canonical Wnt pathway. The Wnt-induced Fzd/LRP6 coreceptor complex recruits DVL1 polymers to the plasma membrane which, in turn, recruits the AXIN1/GSK3B-complex to the cell surface promoting the formation of signalsomes and inhibiting AXIN1/GSK3-mediated phosphorylation and destruction of beta-catenin.
